F.W. Rickard Seeds, Inc., we take specific steps in our breeding
and production programs to provide growers with high quality,
certified seed.
Both the Kentucky Seed Improvement Association and the North
Carolina Crop Improvement Association inspect our seed production
processes, and State Regulatory Agencies conduct tests to
confirm standard germination and mechanical purity of our
seeds. These test findings are printed on the blue certified
label found on our packaging.
In 1999, we implemented a formally defined quality assurance
program for all stages of production, resulting in ISO 9001-2000 certification.
F.W. Rickard Seeds, Inc. is the only tobacco seed company
in the U.S. that is ISO certified.
Our purpose is to produce the best seed possible because
good seed is one of the essentials of good farming.
Seed may be one of the lowest cost inputs for your tobacco crop, but
we realize its role not only in getting your crop started,
but also in the quality and quantity of leaf you produce.
